1. Scope and parties

1.1 These terms apply to all retreat bookings with Tania Sevasti Kemou, trading as Take Yoga, 17455 Alimos, Greece, hi@take-yoga.com ("we", "us").

1.2 "Guest" or "you" means every person named on a booking. The person making the booking accepts these terms on behalf of all persons named on it and is responsible for payment.

1.3 The version of these terms published on the date of booking applies.

2. Booking and contract

2.1 A booking request is free of charge and not binding.

2.2 After receiving a request, we confirm availability by email and send the payment details.

2.3 The contract is concluded when we have received the deposit and confirmed receipt by email. By paying the deposit, you accept these terms.

3. Prices and payment

3.1 Prices are per person and in euros. The price includes the services described on the retreat page on the date of booking. Flights, ferry tickets to and from Serifos, accommodation in Athens and insurance are not included.

3.2 A deposit of 30 % of the total price is due on confirmation of availability. The deposit is non-refundable, except in the cases set out in section 6.

3.3 The balance is due no later than 6 weeks before the start date. We send a reminder one week before the due date. For bookings made less than 6 weeks before the start date, the full price is due on booking.

3.4 If the balance is not received by the due date, we may cancel the booking and offer the place to the waiting list. Section 4 applies accordingly.

3.5 Payment is made by bank transfer. All bank and transfer fees are paid by the sender, so that the full amount is received; this applies in particular to transfers from outside the EU. If a bank transfer is not possible, you must contact us before the due date to agree on an alternative payment method. Any additional fees for an alternative method are paid by the guest.

3.6 Promo codes are valid for the period stated. Only one promo code can be used per booking, and promo codes cannot be combined with other discounts.

4. Cancellation by the guest

4.1 Cancellations must be sent by email to hi@take-yoga.com. They take effect on the day the email is received. We confirm every cancellation in writing.

4.2 More than 6 weeks before the start date, all payments except the deposit are refunded. Alternatively, the full amount paid, including the deposit, can be transferred to another retreat in the same calendar year, subject to availability.

4.3 Within 6 weeks of the start date, no refund is given and a transfer to another retreat is no longer possible. If the place is filled from the waiting list, all payments except the deposit are refunded.

4.4 No refund is given for non-attendance, late arrival, early departure or services not used.

4.5 No exceptions to this cancellation policy are made, including for bad weather, illness, injury, pregnancy, or personal, family or work reasons.

4.6 Refunds are paid within 14 days of the cancellation taking effect.

5. Transfer to another person

5.1 You may transfer your booking to another person, provided you notify us by email at least 7 days before the start date.

5.2 The new guest takes over all rights and obligations under the booking. You and the new guest are jointly liable for any outstanding balance and for any additional costs of the transfer, including a price difference for a different room type.

6. Changes and cancellation by us

6.1 We may make minor changes to the programme, such as to the timetable, excursions or restaurants, where required by weather, ferry schedules or local conditions.

6.2 If Tania Kemou is temporarily unable to teach, for example due to illness, classes may be taught by a qualified teacher chosen by us. This is not a significant change and does not entitle you to cancel or to a refund.

6.3 If we have to make a significant change, such as a change of hotel or of the retreat dates, we inform you without delay. You may then accept the change, transfer to another retreat in the same calendar year, or cancel and receive a full refund, including the deposit.

6.4 If we cancel the retreat, we inform you as soon as possible. All payments, including the deposit, are refunded within 14 days or, at your choice, transferred to another retreat in the same calendar year.

6.5 We do not reimburse flights, ferry tickets, visa fees, loss of earnings or any other costs incurred in connection with your travel.

7. Insurance

7.1 The retreat price does not include insurance.

7.2 You are responsible for having travel and health insurance valid in Greece for the entire retreat. It must cover personal injury and emergency medical expenses, including helicopter evacuation, air ambulance and repatriation.

7.3 We strongly recommend cancellation insurance and cover for loss, damage, delay and other costs arising during travel.

8. Health and participation

8.1 By booking, you confirm that your health allows you to take part in daily yoga practice and that no doctor has advised you against it.

8.2 You must inform us before the retreat of any injury, medical condition or pregnancy relevant to your practice.

8.3 Participation in all activities is voluntary and at your own risk. You are responsible for practising within your physical limits and for following the teacher's instructions. You may decline hands-on adjustments at any time.

9. Liability

9.1 We organise the retreat with due care.

9.2 We are not liable for damage caused by circumstances outside our control, for loss of or damage to personal belongings, or for damage resulting from a guest's failure to disclose health information or to follow instructions.

9.3 Travel to and from Serifos, including ferry crossings, is not part of our services. You are solely responsible for arranging and booking your travel, and you travel at your own risk. We are not liable for delays, cancellations or missed connections, or for any resulting loss of retreat days.

9.4 Nothing in these terms excludes or limits our liability for injury to life, body or health, for damage caused intentionally or through gross negligence, or in any other case where liability cannot be excluded by law.

9.5 Any problem during the retreat must be reported to us without delay, so that it can be remedied on site.

10. Accommodation and conduct

10.1 Shared rooms are shared with another guest of the same sex. Guests booking together may share a room on request.

10.2 Guests must treat other participants, hotel staff and the local environment with respect. If a guest's behaviour endangers others or seriously disrupts the retreat, we may exclude that guest from the retreat. No refund is given in this case.

11. Photos and video

11.1 We take photos and videos during the retreat and use them on our website, social media and other promotional material.

11.2 If you do not want images in which you can be recognised to be used, notify us by email at any time. We will then no longer use them and will remove published images where possible.

12. Personal data

12.1 We process personal data as described in our privacy policy.

13. Governing law and disputes

13.1 These terms are governed by Greek law. Guests who are consumers resident in another EU country retain the protection of the mandatory consumer law of their country of residence.

13.2 Both parties will first try to resolve any dispute amicably and in writing.

13.3 The courts of Athens have jurisdiction. Consumers may also bring proceedings before the courts of their place of residence.

13.4 Consumers may also contact the Hellenic Consumer Ombudsman or the European Consumer Centre in their country.

14. Final provisions

14.1 If any provision of these terms is or becomes invalid, the remaining provisions remain in force.
