Join us nowWhether you're travelling alone or with company, you will feel at home here; in our retreats we create a warm, friendly atmosphere so everyone feels welcome from the very beginning. The group will be small to ensure that everyone gets the attention and guidance necessary to reach their greatest potential. Serifos, only reachable by ferry, is the secret gem of the Cycladic islands. It is known for its dry, rocky landscapes, secluded beaches, turquoise waters and one of the most magical sunsets in Greece.
Away from the crowds of tourists present in other islands, Serifos is ideal if you’re looking for peace, authenticity, connection with nature and your inner self.

We will be practicing twice a day, in the morning and afternoon. The morning practice will be mostly Mysore class. The retreat will open and close with a Led class.
In Mysore class students practice individually, each at their own pace and working together with the teacher on their particular needs, taking more time to approach certain poses and thus going deeper into the practice.
In Led class we will work through the Primary series, following the traditional Sanskrit counting. We will close every Led class with pranayama and a short seated meditation.
The afternoon classes will be workshops that will allow you to go deeper into the foundations of Ashtanga yoga and build a sustainable practice. In between practices there will be chanting and philosophy lectures followed by group discussions.
Typical Schedule
8.30 - 10.00: Ashtanga Led or Mysore class
10.00 - 11.00: Breakfast
11.00 - 17.00: Free time
17.30 - 19.00: Afternoon practice (workshops, chanting and philosophy lectures)
20.00 - 22.00: Dinner
In between classes you will have plenty of free time to explore the beautiful beaches of Serifos, go hiking or enjoy a coffee and walk by the port. A half day trip to Chora, the main town of Serifos and Mega Livadi, the location with the most spectacular sunset of the island, is included.
Our first day will start in the afternoon with a Led class, followed by an opening circle to get to know each other. On our last day, we will practice only in the morning. Expected end time: 10:00 am.
Tania has been practicing Ashtanga yoga daily since about 10 years. She travels every year to Mysore, India, to study with her teacher Sharath Jois, the grandson of the founder of Ashtanga yoga, Sri K. Pattabhi Jois. In February 2022 her teacher granted her authorization Level 1 and his blessing to teach.
In her teachings Tania focuses on the quality of the breath, allowing students to unlock the potential of their body and gradually get to calm the mind. She uses hands on adjustments to help students find correct posture and go deeply and safely into the poses.
Tania approaches yoga not as a merely physical practice but a holistic life changing experience. By teaching pranayama, chanting and yoga philosophy she seeks to offer students a greater understanding of Ashtanga as a whole. Her wish is to help students get closer to their true self and make them feel empowered, confident and happy through a consistent and mindful practice.
Tania teaches in Berlin and Greece.
